What your child will learn

For children 6 months up to 6 years

Rollback to float

All students, even those as young as 6 months old, learn the fundamental ISR skill of rolling onto their backs to float, rest, and breathe. Infants and toddlers who are not yet walking well will learn to maintain this position until help can reach them, and it's just as important for our older students as they incorporate more swimming skills.

As young as 6 months

Swim float swim

As toddlers and young children gain more physical skills on land, they are ready to learn more skills in the water as well. ISR teaches children to swim a short distance, rotate onto their back to a floating position, and then turn over to continue the sequence of swimming and floating until they can reach safety at the steps, side of the pool, or shoreline.

Ready to book or have more questions?

Where are you located?

Coach Kelli primarily serves Broward county and surrounding areas in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Lessons are held at a private residence in Hollywood, FL (year-round) and at a host pool in Plantation, FL (Spring and Summer season).

How long is each session?

Each session is 6-8 weeks. Lessons are scheduled 5 days per week, Monday through Friday, for 10 minutes. Repetition and consistency are vital for young learners. Short, frequent lessons, supported by research, enhance retention.

How much does it cost?

Instructor Fees: Full Session: $840 per 6-week session (50% non-refundable and non-transferable deposit required). Refresher Lessons (returning ISR students only): $280 for two weeks (5 days per week). Maintenance Lessons (returning ISR students only): $25 per lesson or $115 for a 5-lesson package. Sibling discounts (10%) are available. Outside resources for need-based financial scholarships are available upon request. Registration Fees: A one-time $105 ISR registration fee (non-refundable) is also required and covers a medical background check. Registration updates are then $40 annually.

Do you offer private lessons?

Depending on the season, Coach Kelli might be able to travel to client's pools.

Do parents get in the water?

ISR’s unique results are achieved through fully customized, safe and effective, one-on-one lessons with only your child and the Instructor in the water.

What if my child cries during lessons?

New experiences can be uncomfortable and challenging, and crying is a young child’s way of communicating this discomfort. With increasing skills in the pool, the frequency of fussing typically decreases as the child becomes more comfortable and confident.

How are ISR instructors trained?

ISR Instructors undergo a minimum of 6 weeks of in-water training alongside a master Instructor, followed by 2 weeks of academics before leading lessons. Continuous certifications in First Aid and CPR for Healthcare Providers are maintained, with annual attendance at the ISR National Recertification Conference for ongoing education.
